I actually had a great reading month… I’m not quite sure how it happened but I deviated from my original TBR and actually read a lot more books than I was originally planning too and I’m not mad at it! I kind of listened a little more to my mood this month and read what I felt like reading instead of just solely sticking to my TBR and I feel like that approach really enabled me to read a lot more!

This month I finished Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and I am actually already about 100 pages into Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! I told myself I would wait until next month to start it but I couldn’t help myself…
Ah, the Half Blood Prince is a tricky one for me. One I love how this book advances the storyline whilst looking back through Lord Voldemort’s history. I think the lessons between Harry and Dumbledore are some of my favourite scenes in the series. Especially how much information we are being fed whilst still being in the realm of unknown. But again, the ending just kills me every time I read it. The first time I read the Half Blood Prince I actually had to put the book down and didn’t come back to it for a few days to finish it; definitely a few tears involved!
Dumbledore was always so integral to the overall plot line and a constant throughout the series that I almost didn’t think I could finish the series without him there. Spoiler the Deathly Hallows is without a doubt my favourite book of the series so I am glad I continued. This book is just a little bittersweet but also necessary, it just wouldn’t be the Harry Potter series if these events didn’t happen. I’m going to try and pace out my read of the Deathly Hallows and appreciate every sentence!
