The Once and Future Witches by Alix E. Harrow

I’ve been trying hard to finish off series this year as there are so many I want to read but I was in the middle of quite a few and didn’t want to get muddled. So I thought this was a good time to look back at what series I have managed to complete so far in 2022!
Series I have completed so far this year are:
These Witches Don’t Burn duology by Isabel Sterling
These Violent Delights duology by Chloe Gong
The Ravens duology by Kass Morgan & Danielle Paige
Serpent & Dove series by Shelby Mahurin
Girls of Paper and Fire series by Natasha Ngan
Daughter of the Pirate King duology by Tricia Levenseller
The Shadow Game series by Amanda Foody
Malice duology by Heather Walter
Shadow & Bone series by Leigh Bardugo
I just now finished my reread of Six of Crows and oh my goodness the nostalgia! This was only the second time I have ever read this book which was over 5 years ago now and I really enjoyed it. There was a lot of the little details that I forgot over the years so it was honestly just a joy to relive everything again. Having multiple perspectives gave the story more depth and kept me very much engaged throughout. I liked the fact that we have multiple character arcs and budding relationships going on as well. I definitely wasn’t as in love with this book as I was the first time, I didn’t have that drive behind me to finish it in one day but I think that’s to be expected from a reread. Still lived up to the hype and this is probably my favourite book in the Grishaverse so far!
It’s Top Ten Tuesday time! This week is all about my seasonal TBR rejects. These are the books I’ve put on the last couple of seasonal TBR’s that I still haven’t gotten to yet. I am definitely still interested in all of these titles so fingers crossed I get to them soon!

These are five of my favourite quotes from the last five books that I have read!!
The House Across the Lake by Riley Sager
“Why bother if you’re not going to give it your all?”
Book of Night by Holly Black
“Everyone loves the guy who brings ice.”
So Happy For You by Celia Laskey
“If you want to know the story of how my best friend and I ended up trying to kill each other, I should probably start with the night she asked me to be her maid of honour.”
Gods & Monsters by Shelby Mahurin
“Hope isn’t the sickness. It’s the cure.”
You’ve Lost a Lot of Blood by Eric LaRocca
“I didn’t kill him because I wanted to. That would have been too easy.”
