January TBR

I think what I’m going to try for the first few months of 2022 is going back to having a set TBR of about 8 books each month that I shall try and read. What I’ve been finding with mood reading the last few months of last year was that there was just too many options for me and it would take me too long to pick something and I would end up just not reading anything. So I’m thinking going back to having a set TBR will help me get back into the swing of reading regularly again.

My TBR for January is:

The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix

The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch

The Monarchs by Kass Morgan & Danielle Paige

This Coven Won’t Break by Isabel Sterling

Where the Drowned Girls Go by Seanan McGuire

Our Violent Ends by Chloe Gong

Sword of Destiny by Andrzej Sapkowski

The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune

December Wrap Up

This month kind of ran away with me and in the end I didn’t end up reading as much as what I wanted. However, it’s the end of the year, I didn’t want to put too much pressure on myself to read if I wasn’t in the mood and this is what happened. I had one really great read, one disappointing read and one fun, fast read so I feel like overall it was a successful month!

In My Dreams I Hold a Knife by Ashley Winstead⭐️5/5 stars

The Storm of Echoes by Christelle Dabos⭐️2/5 stars

These Witches Don’t Burn by Isabel Sterling⭐️3/5 stars

Worst Books of 2021

These are the books that I just didn’t quite enjoy this year! I definitely tried to be more honest with my reviews and give more 1 and 2 stars if I wasn’t all that into a book rather than just giving it a three like I usually would. I definitely didn’t actively hate any of these book they just weren’t my style and taste!

A Song Below Water by Bethany C. Morrow

The Girl and the Stars by Mark Lawrence

The Storm of Echoes by Christelle Dabos

The Deep by Rivers Solomon
