April Reading Stats

If you are unaware what the Buzzword Readathon/Challenge is see my prior post HERE. Last month the buzzword was space and I ended up completing The Girl and the Stars by Mark Lawrence which was unfortunately underwhelming!! However, I am excited to continue on with this challenge and complete this months buzzword which is:
This month the buzzword theme is House and Home and just like last month I have a couple of options:

Just like last month I am going to listing all the books I really want to read right now and then throughout the month I will just be picking books up at random hopefully when the mood comes over me. I am really going to try and read more this month and catch up on all my reading goals!

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt is my ten most recent books I have read and my thoughts on each book!

The Girl and the Stars by Mark Lawrence – Underwhelming unfortunately

These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong – Just ok, will definitely be continuing on

Catherine House by Elisabeth Thomas – This was strange

When the Tiger Came Down the Mountain by Nghi Vo – I was invested, definitely unlike anything I’ve read before

The Midnight Library by Matt Haig – Poignant, relevant & impactful

Across the Green Grass Fields by Seanan McGuire – I really enjoyed this

Come Tumbling Down by Seanan McGuire – the series is slowly getting better as I read through

Well Played by Jen DeLuca – was an enjoyable, romantic, fun read

The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin – lived up to the hype

In an Absent Dream by Seanan McGuire – Just an ok one for me

Alas my reading slump is still going strong… I only completed two books last month, but it was two books I was highly anticipating so I am still glad I was able to read them!

These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong – ⭐️ 3/5 stars

The Girl and the Stars by Mark Lawrence – ⭐️ 2/5 stars
