Book Editions I’d Love to Own

It’s Top Ten Tuesday time again! I don’t really own any kind of bookish merch nor do I have the urge to buy any honestly. I don’t  display any merch or objects on my shelves so instead for this week’s prompt I decided to change it to book editions I would love to own. In the US and the UK there are various book subscription boxes and stores that make special editions of books that I would LOVE to own, but being in Australia it’s either very difficult or expensive to attain them.

So these are 10 books that have gorgeous special editions that I would love to add to my collection:

Tome Topple Round 16 TBR

There is another round of Tome Topple that starts today! I love this readathon because it gives me that push to pick up those longer books that I have been putting off! For this round Thoughts on Tomes from Booktube has chosen 20 prompts that we can pick from and I have decided to do a random number generator to pick 5 numbers that will correspond to a prompt. I am going to aim to complete at least two of these books but even if I only get to one I’m going to count it as a success!

2. A Sequel Tome – Gods and Monsters by Shelby Mahurin

12. Tome set in a non-European inspired setting – House of Sky and Breath by Sarah J Maas

9. Tome based on a historical event – The Once and Future Witches by Alix E. Harrow

11. Standalone tome – House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski

13. Tome centering a romance – Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare

Contradictions Book Tag

Once again Kristin @ Kristin Kraves Books is making me aware of some fun books tags that I have to give a go! This was originated by  Daniela at Only If For a Page on BookTube.

Our Violent Ends by Chloe Gong – Fantasy is my favourite genre but this book just didn’t do it for me

The Last House on Needless Street by Catriona Ward – I’m just getting in to horror books and this one was great!

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell – the Chosen One trope is one of my favourites but this book wasn’t good for me

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas – the Damsel in Distress tropes is one of my least favourites but this iteration did it for me!

Leigh Bardugo has been a consistent favourite but Ninth House was a let down

I didn’t like Middlegame but I loved Where The Drowned Girls Go by Seanan McGuire

Velvet was the Night by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

Daughter of the Burning City by Amanda Foody – there is so much more that could of been done with this cover
