I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Remnant Chronicles as I gave all of the books 3 stars. There wasn’t really anything wrong with them, I just didn’t connect with the characters or the plot all that well. I did really enjoy how much the world expanded over the course of the series and the political intrigue was very interesting to read which is predominately why I decided to pick up Dance of Thieves. I think having a different set of characters with a new fresh plot has intrigued me enough that I want to read it. I also really like the premise of having a reformed master thief, it really keeps the stakes high and makes for more of a fast paced book which is more my style. Also this cover is absolutely beautiful, one of the prettiest on my shelves that’s for sure.
Happy Reading📚

I was actually really surprised how much I enjoyed Nevermoor. I had a feeling going into it that it might be a bit too juvenile for my taste but that wasn’t the case at all! It reminded me kind of as a mix between Harry Potter and Percy Jackson but also it was very distinct and unique as well, especially since out main protagonist is a female. I really contemplated giving it a 5/5 but it just fell short of that for me, so I’m thinking Wundersmith might just do it! I believe we follow Morrigan as she enters school in this book and school settings are always one of my favourite story-lines to read from. I”m excited to get into Wundersmith and I hope it’s as good as what I think it will be. I’ve heard great things!
So I’ve decided that it’s high time that I do a reread of the Harry Potter series. It’s been a few years since I’ve read all seven books in full, I usually just reread The Deathly Hallows as it’s my favourite book in the series!
I was a bit disappointed when I finished Fire Study but I still have hope that the series will pick back up for Shadow and Night Study. There wasn’t anything inherently wrong with Fire Study I just found it a bit more difficult to get through than the other books I’ve read from the Study Series. I love the whole premise of the books and they’ve really continued to expand and grow as the series continued. I’m still invested in the narrative and the characters, I especially like the dynamics of Yelena and Valek’s relationship. So I’m hoping the pace picks back up and I get excited about the series again.
