The Currently Reading Tag

I did this tag over a year ago now and thought it would be fun to do it again and see if any of my answers differ!

I’ve actually recently started with 2 books at a time. One physical and one ebook!

During the day, either when I’m at work or out and about and I have a spare 5-10 minutes I can just pull my book up on my phone or computer and read the eBook. At night when I’m in bed I will usually switch over to the physical book!

Lately I haven’t even been using bookmarks, I’ll either dog ear the page I’m on or just lay the book down on the open pages.

i dog ear my pages

Usually on my bed or on my nightstand (same)

Lately during my reading slump it’s just whenever the mood comes over me, could be any time of the day.

Depends on how I’m feeling about the book. If I’m invested and I know it’s a quite short read I will probably just end up finishing it in one sitting, otherwise could be anywhere from 1-6 hours.

Yes, I always end up damaging the dust jacket otherwise; I kind of throw my books around a lot

Laying down, either or my side on on my back!

No I will leave it in my room usually on my bed

This depends as well, usually after a sitting and I put the book down I will update my Goodreads but if I forget or am too tired to I will wait and just update when I finish the book!

Bookshelf Book Tag

I’ve seen this tag floating around the blogosphere and had to give it a go!

I have three bookshelves!

Between 280-290 books

Right now it’s in complete chaos!

The oldest book that I’ve personally owned is probably my paperback edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

The newest book on my shelves would be Bila Yarrudhanggalangdhuray by Anita Heiss

The shortest book is probably Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire

Fantasy for sure!!!

I’ve posted pics of my shelves before but I haven’t done an in depth tour of my collection

I got the 18th book on shelves which is Starsight by Brandon Sanderson the second book in the Skyward series. This was a great continuation to this series. Brandon Sanderson really took the foundations that he laid down in Skyward and continued to build depth and layers to the story that is just so entertaining and enthralling to read!

No I don’t like decorations on my shelves I like to let the books speak for themselves!

9. Do you tend to agree or disagree with GR average rating and do you use GR as a guide for books you want to read?

I would say overall absolutely.. the majority of my rating coincide with the average! I will typically look to see what the average rating is before I start a book, but it doesn’t sway my opinions at all.

This or That Book Tag

I’ve seen this tag on  Soph’s Book World blog and it looked liked a lot of fun, so I figured why not give it a go!

Definitely read in bed!!

I am a night time reader, I don’t have the mental capacity in the mornings lol

I tend to read more female protagonists but I am not opposed to either

It’s honestly not something I notice or really care about, if I had to choose I would say third person POV!

Trilogies for sure!!

Libraries first and then hit the bookstore if I liked the book!

I don’t like sad books, so I would definitely prefer to laugh!

Black or colourful, white books are a little blah

A mixture of both in a perfect world! But I would have to either as long as they are done well.
