This week’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt is books I wish I could read again for the first time. This was completely random, I just went through my read shelf on Goodreads and picked out books I loved and wish I could read again just for the feels!!

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt is Summer/Winter vibes and since we are coming into winter here in Australia I thought it would be nice to list some of the books I have read over the last year that give me wintry/cold/blustery/frigid vibes!!

A Winter’s Promise by Christelle Dabos

Frozen Tides by Morgan Rhodes

The Crown’s Game by Evelyn Skye

One Day in December by Josie Silver

The Winternight Trilogy by Katherine Arden

Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik

Red Sister by Mark Lawrence

The Death of Mrs Westaway by Ruth Ware

I have figured out over the last year that I actually really enjoy mystery/thriller books. I had previously just stuck to either fantasy or contemporary but I have finally broadened my reading horizons’ to include some other genres which I greatly enjoy!
These are the five mystery/thriller books I plan to read this year:
The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides

Lock Every Door by Riley Sager

The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware

The Shining by Stephen King

Watching You by Lisa Jewell

For this week’s Top 10 Tuesday prompt I decided to go with new authors I discovered in 2019. This list is all the authors that I read from for the first time and I loved them enough to want to continue to pick up either their back-list or any books they may publish in the future!
Now one of my all-time favourite fantasy authors!

The Seven Realms is now one of my all-time favourite fantasy series ever!

Chilling and atmospheric, I need to dip into more of her back-list titles!

for some reason all her books intimidated me but I definitely need to read them all!

I am in the middle of the Falling Kingdoms series and I am highly impressed

I binged the first two books in The Shadow Game trilogy!

her books are diverse, realistic and highly engaging!

I’ve been impressed with the representation of culture and mental health she includes in her romances!

I’ve only read one of her books and I need to rectify that situation very soon!

super fun romances full of diverse characters

These are my favourite books that I read this year. I realise not all of them were released in 2019 but it was when I read them all and I absolutely LOVED each and every one of these books.
So in no particular order these are my Top 10 Favourite Books of the Year:
Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young
