✨Witchlands Series Reread✨

I am so very behind on my reread of this series but I have just completed the first book Truthwitch today which is actually the release day for Witchshadow coincidentally. I was supposed to have already finished and reread the series so I can pick up Witchshadow straight away but alas that did not occur. I did however, have such a fun time being back in this world and reunited with Iseult and Safi again. Similar to my first reading experience with this book it just jumps straight into the action and it takes me a little while to be accustomed to the writing style. I love the build up of the world and learning about the different realms and the truce. The differences between the different nations and how delicate the peace truce is and just how everyone is waiting for it to dissolve. There are a lot of characters and titles thrown at us as well which again took me a while to wrap my head around again as it’s been a while since I read this series. I highly enjoyed my reread though and I am definitely going to try and continue on with Windwitch as soon as possible!

✨Witchlands Series Reread✨

I have picked the next series I am going to be rereading in anticipation of it’s latest release and that is the Witchlands Series by Susan Dennard. It’s been 2 years now since I first binged this series and I am in desperate need of a recap as I have pretty much forgotten all the finer details of the plot and I would like to be fresh and up to date before Witchshadow is released in June! I love this series and I am excited to get stuck back in!

⚔️ An Ember in the Ashes Series Reread ⚔️

I’ve just recently completed An Ember in the Ashes and I liked it better this time round. This is only the second time I have read this book since I first bought it two years ago and having read hundreds of other fantasy novels in the meantime made me appreciate this story even more! Right from the start I was highly invested in our two main protagonists and with the stakes gradually rising as the story continues there was never a point where I wanted to put the book down. This time around I was surprised by how much the deaths of all the masks affected me during the third trial. Seeing Elias’s anguish and torment with killing all of his friends and how willing some of them were to die really hit me in the feels. I love the Romanesque feel of the world and the war focused society and can’t wait to become more re-established as I continue on with the series. We get a little taste of the magic system and the lore surrounding the ghuls, ifits and djinn enough to keep me engaged but I’m definitely left wanting more. Overall I think this was a perfect introduction to a new series, we have high stakes, twists and turns and characters you can’t help but love.

Ember in the Ashes Series Reread

I’ve been going through and doing rereads of a few series that I haven’t picked up in years and since I just wrapped up The Heroes of Olympus series last month I thought I had better pick something to start next. The final book in this series is going to be released in a few months so I decided to do a reread of the Ember in the Ashes series by Sabaa Tahir! Its been about 2 years since A Reaper at the Gates was released so I am struggling to remember the finer details of the plot and I wanted to go into the last book freshly reminded of everything!
