March Reading Stats

If you are unaware what the Buzzword Readathon/Challenge is see my prior post HERE. Last month the buzzword was a location in the title and for that I read The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley which was a dramatic ride. With April the prompt is to pick a book with size related words in the title and I already know what I am going to read for this and it is:
Tiny Pretty Things by Sona Charaiporta & Dhonielle Clayton

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt is a freebie so I’ve decided to see what the 10 most lowest rated books are on my physical TBR are at the moment from Goodreads. I don’t really check ratings ever before I pick up a book but I figure this could be a fun post to come back to when I’ve read the books and compare what my rating is to the majority.
Dead to Her by Sarah Pinborough – 3.32

Don’t You Cry by Mary Kubica – 3.56

Baby Teeth by Zoje Stage – 3.63

The Arrangement by Robyn Harding – 3.73

The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon – 3.78

Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough – 3.79

The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena – 3.80

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norell by Susana Clark – 3.84

Dark Places by Gillian Flynn – 3.94

Pet Semetary by Stephen King – 4.03

Just like the last couple of years I have decided that every three months I will go through my reading list and pick out the top 10 favourite books I have read during that time. Then at the end of the year I will compile my list and pick out my top 10 overall of 2022.
So my reading recommendations for January, February and March are:
The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune

The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix

Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller

Reckless Girls by Rachel Hawkins

Where the Drowned Girls Go by Seanan McGuire

Gallant by V.E. Schwab

The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley

Comfort Me With Apples by Catherynne M. Valente

The Last House on Needless Street by Catriona Ward

Tender is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica

For April I want to continue on with the momentum I gained in March and try and read even more books. I decided to just go with 3 picks I am going to try and prioritise and then have a list of about 10 that I can pick from when the mood hits!

The Once and Future Witches by Alix E. Harrow

Cytonic by Brandon Sanderson

Siren Queen by Nghi Vo
