WWW Wednesday

I thought it was time to do another WWW Wednesday.1 copy

I am currently about 50 or so pages into Finale by Stephanie Garber. I have been highly anticipating this book for a while now, ever since reading and loving Legendary a few months ago!

2 copyI just recently finished Vow of Thieves by Mary E Pearson and absolutely LOVED it!!! I read Dance of Thieves back in January and it blew me away. So I was highly anticipating this read and was not disappointed!

3 copyI’ve been reading really plot heavy, intricate fantasy novels lately, so I’m feeling like something a little more light and refreshing so I’m thinking of picking up Flatshare by Beth O’Leary. It just seems like the perfect light fluffy contemporary romance that I’ve been needing in my life!

WWW Wednesday

I thought I would do something different today and try the WWW Wednesday post, originally hosted by Taking in a World of Words. All you need to do is answer the three W questions below.

The three W’s are:

Right now I am just about half way through Wilder Girls by Rory Power. I have seen this book EVERYWHERE and I just had a need to read it so I picked it up and I am definitely intrigued and curious about what is about to happen in the second half of this book! Stay tuned for a review soon!

I just recently finished Ruckus by L.J. Shen which is the second book in the Sinners of Saint series. I’ve just been in a bit of a smutty reading mood of late and I had seen this series come up a lot on my recommended so I figured why not give them a try! I have been really enjoying the series so far, I gave the first two book 4/5 stars and I am definitely excited to continue on!

So I am currently participating in the NEWTS Readathon and I have been a little slacking in picking up the books from my TBR, so I was thinking for my next read going with Finale by Stephanie Garber which will get me my Acceptable for Defense Against the Dark Arts. I have been highly anticipating this read for a while now and I have just been putting it off, for no particular reason. I think I am finally ready to pick this book up and finish the series and see what Stephanie Garber has in store for me!

Library Books Update

IMG_4391I’ve started to cut down a little on how many books I loan out at any one time. From my last update I had around 5/6 books loaned out and by the time they expired I had only prioritised and read 2. I feel a little guilty borrowing these books for weeks and weeks at a time and then renewing them for another couple of weeks because they had run out and I still hadn’t read them. Borrowing them and having them sit in my room staring at me while I read other books was making me a little anxious, so I’ve made a limit for myself to only borrow 2-3 books at a time now! Currently have two relatively new books that I have seen around everywhere but wasn’t invested enough to actually buy them, Recursion by Blake Crouch and The Flat Share by Beth O’Leary. I did manage to finish The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers but it wasn’t a favourite of mine unfortunately, so I am hoping I end up loving these two when I get around to picking them up!

Goodreads Reading Goal

readingDuring the Reading Rush last week I managed to reach and surpass my Goodreads Reading Goal for 2019!!! Last year I gave myself a goal of 70 books and if I remember correctly I completed that around October and just finished shy of 100 books by the end of 2018 with 99 books read. So I decided for 2019 to have a goal of 100 books because I got so close last year and because I don’t think I have ever read 100 books before in a year. To have completed and surpassed that goal by late July is amazing! I am super proud of myself and I’ve just been having a really great reading year so far and I look forward to continuing on the next 5 months and seeing how many I manage to get through by the new year!

Overall Experience:

I had a great experience for the Reading Rush! I didn’t have a whole lot going on this week so I was able to get a good amount of reading in and managed to fit 7 books in 7 days. I read a total of 2734 pages over the course of the week and managed to finish a lot of books that I have been putting off for a while!

⭐️ 5/5 stars for The Reading Rush
