Backlist Readathon TBR

I have made the last minute decision to participate in the Backlist Readathon hosted by gabbyreads which started today and runs through to this Sunday 15th March! I have been slowly trying to get through all the physical books on my TBR over the last couple of months and I figured this readathon coincides perfectly with my goals. Now I have two books on my TBR that fit all of the prompts, but I am going to try my best to finish couple more of my backlist titles this week as well!

Backlist Readathon TBR:

The first book I would like to read is The Black Prism by Brent Weeks! This fits the prompts for read a backlist you added as a recommendation from someone else & read a book on your backlist that intimidates you the most!

The second book I would like to read this week is Girls of Storm and Shadow by Natasha Ngan! This books fits the prompts for read your shortest backlist title, read a backlist title you are most excited for, read a diverse backlist title (ex: lgbt rep, fat rep, poc, authors or characters with disabilities) & read a backlist with blue on the cover

🐝 Buzzwordathon TBR 🐝

So in the spur of the moment I decided I wanted to participate in this round of the Buzzwordathon hosted by Books and Lala! I was on YouTube yesterday and I came across the announcement video for Round 5 and when I seen that the buzzword was numbers I decided to check my physical TBR (which I am trying to priorities) and I found 3 books that coincides with the prompt! I thought this was fate, this readathon starts tomorrow and these three books I have been dying to read now for a while, so why not! I’m not going to say that I am definitely going to finish all three books this week, but if I can just get to at least one of them I will be satisfied!

The career I have chosen is to be a Hogwarts Professor and teach Charms, honestly because I would love to live at Hogwarts full time and I think Charms is such a fun, crucial subject in a young witch/wizards magical education! So to pass my NEWTS I need an O in Charms and E in Defense Against the Dark Arts and at least 2 A’s in secondary subjects of my choice which equals to 7 books in all that I need to complete for the NEWTS. If I have time throughout the month I am still going to try and complete as many of the other prompts that I can!

So the prompts and my TBR for the NEWTs are:

I have made the executive decision to participate in this year’s Reading Rush! I am going to do the most and try to finish 7 books and fulfill all of the reading challenge! I’m not going to put too much pressure on myself if don’t end up reading 7 books, but I don’t have anything going on next week so I should be ok! Fingers Crossed 🤞🏾
