Buzzword Reading Challenge

The Buzzword Readathon is a monthly readathon created by BooksandLala on booktube. It’s run the first week of each month (1st through 7th) with each month having a designated word/word theme and you have a week to read as many books as you like with that word in the title. You can however use it as a year long readathon and read just ONE book each month featuring the monthly buzzword until you complete the whole challenge which is what I am going to do for the rest of the year. I didn’t have anything that matched January’s buzzword but I am going to endeavour to complete the rest of the year!

With all that being said February’s Buzzword is a colour and I have a few options I can pick from:

Medieval-A-Thon TBR

I have made a last minute decision to participate in the Medieval-A-Thon hosted by Holly Hearts Books on booktube! It seemed super fun so I figure why not give it a go. It runs from the 10th January through to the 10th February so I have a whole month to hopefully get through my TBR and achieve the skill I am hoping for. I have decided to try to master two professions a Blacksmith & a Seamstress which will enable me to rise to the rank of an Empress!

Smutathon Wrap Up

I’ve had a great weekend reading a lot of smutty books! I managed to complete three out of the five books that I had on my TBR but unfortunately I didn’t manage to get to the group book.

The books I read during the Smutathon were:

A Whisper in the Dark by K.J. Sutton

Pretty Little Savage by Lucy Smoke

Famine by Laura Thalassa

Tome Topple Round 13 Wrap Up

Definitely going to count this round of the Tome Topple Readathon a success! I was able to complete 1 book during the two weeks that had over 500 pages! I definitely had hoped that I would be able to read more but I’ve had a busy couple of weeks and alas was unable to commit enough time to complete any more tomes. But like I said in my TBR even if I only read one of these books it would still count as a success and this book I had been meaning to read for AGES now so I am happy!

The book I completed for the Tome Topple is:

The Toll by Neal Shusterman

Bookoplathon Wrap Up

As I said in my TBR post whenever I was in the mood to pick up a book I rolled and moved around the board and picked a book that corresponded to the prompt I landed on. For this particular readathon I only did 5 rolls, I was having a little bit of a slumpy month and I didn’t want to force myself to pick up a book just because it fit whatever I landed on. I did a pretty good job matching what I was actually interested in reading to what I landed on so I am pretty stoked with my results and this readathon. I thought it was a really fun, unique concept and I will definitely be participating in any future rounds. My rolls were: 8-9-5-8-5

Foiled Cover – A Song of Wraiths and Ruin by Roseanne A. Brown

Community Shelf (Read a book that matches the current season) – The Memory of Babel by Christelle Dabos

Chance – An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

5 Star Prediction – Blood Heir by Amelie Wen Zhao

Friend Pick – The Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo
