📚 Library Haul 📚

It’s been a while since I’ve done an update on what I’ve borrowed from the library so I figure today was the day! My local library only just reopened a couple of weeks ago after being closed for 2 months due to covid, so I went straight in and borrowed some fresh books to read! I’m trying to catch up and get into some of the cult favourite fantasy books that have been out and beloved for ages now and my library actually holds a lot of these books which works out perfectly for me!

Library Books Update

IMG_4391I’ve started to cut down a little on how many books I loan out at any one time. From my last update I had around 5/6 books loaned out and by the time they expired I had only prioritised and read 2. I feel a little guilty borrowing these books for weeks and weeks at a time and then renewing them for another couple of weeks because they had run out and I still hadn’t read them. Borrowing them and having them sit in my room staring at me while I read other books was making me a little anxious, so I’ve made a limit for myself to only borrow 2-3 books at a time now! Currently have two relatively new books that I have seen around everywhere but wasn’t invested enough to actually buy them, Recursion by Blake Crouch and The Flat Share by Beth O’Leary. I did manage to finish The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers but it wasn’t a favourite of mine unfortunately, so I am hoping I end up loving these two when I get around to picking them up!

Library Books Update

I am still really trying to utilize me local library and have at least have 1-2 library books on my TBR each month from now on. This month I still have Save the Date by Morgan Matson and Red Sister by Mark Lawrence left over from my last library haul to read and all I needed to pick up was Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson. It’s been a few months now since I’ve read a Brandon Sanderson novel and I am definitely excited to get into Warbreaker to see what else he has up his sleeve!

Membership Revoked!

I’m a little embarrassed to admit that I haven’t been utilising my local library…smh! I had a membership with them once upon a time but if you haven’t used it in the last 2 years it is revoked and its been at least 7/8 years since I’ve even stepped into the building! But I finally decided that enough is enough and went in and signed myself back up. It has gotten to the stage that there are sooooo many books that I am interested in but I’m not sure that I am going to like, so why would I buy it? If I do end up reading a book and I fall in love with it then I can buy it for myself, easy done! I thought why am I wasting my money buying complete series with 4/5 books if I’m not sure I am even going to like it? This is a very easy fix to a situation that I unnecessarily created… So with all that being said this is the haul of books that I loaned out for the next few weeks! I would really like to get to a few of them on top of my actual TBR for April but we will have to see how I go! 🙂
