Stay Home Reading Rush TBR

Soooo I have made the last minute decision to participate in the Stay Home Reading Rush which started today and finishes on Sunday 19th April. I participated in the Reading Rush last year and had a lot of fun, so I figured why not encourage people to stay home, socially isolate yourself and read all weekend!!!

🎓 Hogwarts Graduation 🎓

I am now eligible to become a Charms Teacher!! As you can see from my N.E.W.T.S Wrap Up I managed to complete all of the exams and have officially graduated from Hogwarts! I had sooooo much fun with this read-a-thon and credit to Book Roast for coming up with the concept and putting in so much effort! She has done a great job and I will be 100% participating in future read-a-thons to come!

⚡️Harry Potter Book Tag⚡️

I’ve seen this tag on a few blogs now and I thought it was very fitting for this month since I’m currently in the middle of the NEWTs Magical Readathon! Since the books came out I have been an avid Harry Potter fan and when I saw this tag I knew I had to give it a go! There are definitely spoilers if you are one of the few who haven’t read this series, I would suggest not reading on!

Favourite Book

My favourite Harry Potter book is definitely The Deathly Hallows. Just having the whole story coming together and weaving into the amazing finale that shook me to the core when I first read it has really made this book cemented as my favourite in my heart!

Favourite Movie

Definitely Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone!  It was whimsical and magical and everything that I wanted, the series just went downhill from there for me.

Least favourite book

Would have to be Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix… Just the way that Dumbledore treated Harry and how angsty he was and Dolores bringing down the joy and wonder of Hogwarts and how everything inevitably ended up with Sirius, just dampened me feelings on this one!

Part of the books/movies that made you cry

The death of Dumbledore! When I first read this scene in The Half Blood Prince I had to put the book down for a good few weeks just to process what happened.

Favourite character

I honestly don’t have one in particular; I would say the trio of Harry, Ron and Hermione are definitely my favourites!

What would your Patronus be?

My first thought was a fox

If you could have the Resurrection Stone, the Invisibility Cloak, or the Elder Wand, which one would you choose?

Definitely the invisibility cloak … I would put that to good use!

What house would you be in?

I initially thought I would be a Ravenclaw or Slytherin but I was sorted into Gryffindor!

If you could meet any member of the cast, who would it be?

Rupert Grint or Tom Felton!!

If you were on the Quidditch team, what position would you play?

A chaser or a seeker!

Were you happy with the ending?

I thought it was honestly perfect, beyond my expectations!

How much does Harry Potter mean to you?

This was the series that propelled me into reading! It just has so much nostalgia attached to it and I will forever love this series and continue to reread it over and over again!

10 Fantasy Favs of 2019!

This week’s Top 10 Tuesday prompt is books from your favourite genre. My favourite genre is without a doubt Fantasy; high fantasy, urban fantasy, epic fantasy and every other sub-genre of fantasy that there is out there! I had a really hard time narrowing this list down to just 10 books so I decided to restrict my list to just fantasy books I’ve read in 2019! I have talked about a lot of these books multiple times on my blog now so I’m not going to go into any details about why, just know that I love each and every one of these books and would 100% recommend them all!

⚡️Harry Potter Update⚡️

1408855712I have officially finished my reread of the Harry Potter series! I wrapped up Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows last week and I just have to say again that I have LOVED my reread of this series. It has been probably 4-5 years since I read through the whole thing and it seems like every time something new jumps out at me. The Deathly Hallows is by far my favourite book of the series, its the book I think I have reread the most and I don’t think I will ever get sick of it! The way that the story comes together and the epic conclusion was just purely magical. All of the twists and turns and obstacles that Harry, Ron and Hermione have to deal with on their hunt for the Horcruxes, the build up of tension, the most incredible plot twist ever with Snape, my mind was absolutely blown the first time I read this book. I think I definitely have to do a reread of this series at least once every year! I love it so much and it has really put me in a great reading mood!

Happy Reading📚
