I hit my Goodreads goal for the year last week! I did not expect to have finished this amount so quickly in the year and I am super stoked and surprised to have already read 80 books. My recent obsession with audiobooks is 100% the reason I have been able to finish so many books already and I excited to continue on with this momentum!
Since we are in June (wtf) I figured it was a good time to check in and see how I’m going with my reading challenge and stats for the first half of the year. At this stage I have only completed 29 books and Goodreads says I am 14 books behind schedule if I want to complete the challenge whereas last year at this time I had already completed 67. I am honestly not that worried about completing the reading challenge, even though in the 4 years I’ve been on Goodreads it would be a first. I am just trying to get out of this reading slump I’ve been in for the majority of 2021. I think I am on the tail end though and I am getting more and more in the mood to read so fingers crossed for that! So far this year I have completed 9747 pages as opposed to last year where I had already read 27,598! So yeah I have some catching up to do, but I have some really good books on my TBR and I am excited to get stuck in and read!
Super excited to announce as of yesterday I completed my 2020 Goodreads Reading Goal of 100 books!!! I had the same goal last year and I believe I completed it around late July so I’m running a little behind but I am still super stoked I was able to complete it. It honestly doesn’t feel like I’ve read 100 books this year but due to the current situation in the world I’ve definitely had a lot more time to stay home and read! Last year I ended up completing 172 books so it will be interesting to see what I will end up with at the end of 2020. Hopefully everyone is able to complete their Reading Goals for the year and if you don’t I still hope you read some great books!! 😊
During the Reading Rush last week I managed to reach and surpass my Goodreads Reading Goal for 2019!!! Last year I gave myself a goal of 70 books and if I remember correctly I completed that around October and just finished shy of 100 books by the end of 2018 with 99 books read. So I decided for 2019 to have a goal of 100 books because I got so close last year and because I don’t think I have ever read 100 books before in a year. To have completed and surpassed that goal by late July is amazing! I am super proud of myself and I’ve just been having a really great reading year so far and I look forward to continuing on the next 5 months and seeing how many I manage to get through by the new year!

Excited to announce that I have reached and surpassed my Goodreads Reading Goal for 2018!! I set my goal with not really any expectations of reaching it… I kind of just picked an arbitrary amount that seemed pretty high but I might reach if I have a good reading year, and knowing that I have exceeded my expectations of myself is really gratifying! 70 books read in a little over 10 months…not too shabby in my opinion 🙂 I’ve had good luck this year and have loved pretty much everything that I’ve read so far and I’m hoping I continue on for the rest of the year!
