Last month the buzzword prompt was to pick a book with a ‘animal/creature’ related word in the title and I ended up completing Clown in a Cornfield by Adam Cesare for this prompt! For November I’m going to be mood reading throughout the month. I have an abundance of books that I am interested in and want to read at the moment so hopefully I get to at least 7-9 of these books!
This month was my best reading month all year! I definitely leaned into the spooky season and read mostly horror/thriller books which was a nice departure from my usual fantasy reads. There was a lot of just average reads but overall I highly enjoyed everything I finished for October.

I’m at the stage in my reading/adult life where contemporary YA books don’t really interest me anymore. There are still a few YA fantasy/horror books that I still want to pick up but that’s about it. I have quite a few hard hitting contemporary/romance YA books on my TBR that I know I’m never going to make the time to read even though at one stage I very much wanted to get to them.
