I figured it was time for another WWW Wednesday update:
Blood & Honey by Shelby Mahurin
Down Among the Sticks and Bones by Seanan McGuire
The Hunter and the Mage by Kaitlyn Davis
I have made a last minute decision to participate in the Medieval-A-Thon hosted by Holly Hearts Books on booktube! It seemed super fun so I figure why not give it a go. It runs from the 10th January through to the 10th February so I have a whole month to hopefully get through my TBR and achieve the skill I am hoping for. I have decided to try to master two professions a Blacksmith & a Seamstress which will enable me to rise to the rank of an Empress!
My TBR for Medieval-A-Thon includes:
Read a book with gold, silver or bronze in the title or cover – The Empire of Gold by S.A. Chakraborty
A book you’re scared to read – The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton
A book with a weapon on the cover – The Hunter and the Mage by Kaitlyn Davis
A hardcover – Blood and Honey by Shelby Mahurin
A series finale – A Sky Beyond the Storm
Read a book your unsure about – Legendborn by Tracy Deonn
First book to a series – Flamecaster by Cinda Williams Chima
A book embossed or foil on the cover – Lightbringer by Claire Legrand
The last book you bought/borrowed – The Year of the Witching by Alexis Henderson
Prettiest book on your shelf – These Witches Don’t Burn by
This month is going to be pretty crazy so I am not going to put too much pressure on myself to complete this TBR. What I will endeavour to do is complete some of the series continuations I have going at the moment. Some of these books I have been anticipating for the longest time and I still haven’t read them yet so they are going to the top of my reading list for 2021!
My January TBR consists of:
I did this tag at the end of last year and I felt like this is a fun tag that I could potentially do around this time every year!
I am going to interpret this as a series I started this year that I need to finish and for that I am going for The Empire of Gold by S.A. Chakraborty!
I don’t really have seasonal books that I read every year, that’s just not how I function. But as we are going into summer here in Australia I am going to try and pick up some more contemporaries. So for that I am going to pick A Song Below Water by Bethany C. Morrow!
I am highly anticipating Lightbringer by Clarie Legrand
Blood and Honey by Shelby Mahurin, The Toll by Neal Shusterman & The Girl and the Stars by Mark Lawrence
I still haven’t read The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Scwab and I just have a feeling that I am going to LOVE it!
No…One this I did more this year was just mood read throughout the months and just pick up book when I was in the mood for reading, so I think I will definitely be continuing that for 2021!
The next couple of months are going to be really busy for me so I might not have time to read as much as I want… With that being said there are a couple books I am really hoping I will have time to get to, and then the rest will just be icing on the cake!
The Empire of Gold by S.A. Chakraborty
The Blinding Knife by Brent Weeks
Queen of Volts by Amanda Foody
Flamecaster by Cinda Williams Chima
