February Reading Stats

Hello friends it’s Top Ten Tuesday time and this week’s prompt is things characters have said!
So here at my 5 favourite quotes from the last 5 books I have read:
The Haar by David Sodergren
“At the time, it hadn’t seemed particularly significant. But that was always the way with life-changing moments, wasn’t it?”

Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros
“There’s nowhere in existence you could go that I wouldn’t find you, Violence.”

Gild by Raven Kennedy
“A cage is a cage, no matter how gilded.”

Guillotine by Delilah S. Dawson
“Actions have consequences! Just never for you – not until now.”

Chlorine by Jade Song
“How was I supposed to differentiate between the pain due to the concussion and the pain due to the agony of everyday human life?”

This month I want to keep it pretty easy and just try and mood read for the majority of the month. I’m in a little bit of a rut and I’m just not sure what I want to pick up and read so hopefully I can just breeze through some shorter books and try and keep my momentum going from January.

This month went pretty much as I expected. Didn’t get to as many books as I would of liked but I did end up enjoying pretty much everything I read!

The Haar by David Sodergren – ⭐️4/5 stars

Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros – ⭐️4/5 stars

Gild by Raven Kennedy – ⭐️3/5 stars

Guillotine by Delilah S. Dawson – ⭐️4/5 stars

Chlorine by Jade Song – ⭐️3/5 stars

*SEMI-SPOILERY THOUGHTS AHEAD*

I am about 50 pages into Brisingr and at this point and I am still highly enjoying my reread of this series. I have to say though it about this stage where I am loosing interest a little bit, simply because of the sheer size of the books moving forward. I find myself wanting to pick other books up over Brisingr simply because I know I can finish them faster. I will say I don’t really remember anything significant from this book to be transparent. I remember pretty much all of the major plot points from Inheritance but Brinsigr is coming up a little blank for me so I’m excited to dive back into the world of Alagaësia and see what Eragon gets up to next! I just hope he isn’t too cringey with his pining for Arya but we will see.
