IMG_1547I am finally going to be picking this up and starting it this week! Ever since the movie adaptation came out earlier this year I have been seeing this book everywhere. I don’t really read a whole lot of contemporary simply because it’s not my favourite genre, but I do like to dip me toes in every now and then and pick one up that seems to be popular at the moment and see how I like it. I have heard absolutely nothing but good things about Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda and I am looking forward to getting into this and seeing whether or not the hype behind it is justified in my opinion. As far as I know it’s about Simon a homosexual male in high school who hasn’t come out to anyone yet but someone finds out and threatens to expose him… I am excited to get started and I will definitely be getting back to you soon with my thoughts and review.

Words of Radiance

IMG_1527I am about to finally start this behemoth of a book. I can’t stop talking/thinking about The Way of Kings after I completed it last month and how amazing it was….so I have been eagerly anticipating picking up Words of Radiance and continuing on in the series. I am going to try and drag out this book for as long as possible because I don’t want to get to the point where I have nothing left to read in the series until book four comes out in I think another few years. I know there is still the novella Edgedancer and then Oathbringer to go but I want to cherish my time reading these books. So I think a couple hundred pages every other day and I should have it finished by the end of the month!

Poison Study

img_1503-1Another recent purchase of mine and the start of hopefully a new series that I love. I’ve been hearing about Poison Study and The Study Series for a while now and it’s definitely been up there in my TBR but for one reason or another I have just never gotten around to it. Poison Study is the first book in a four book series and I love a good fantasy series soooo I am super excited that I finally picked it up.

Hopefully I’ll be coming back to you in a few days with an update/wrap up/review of Poison Study and I can let you know what I thought of it!

Sufficed to say I am very excited to start blogging all of my reading updates and thoughts and reviews on the various books I read. As well as throwing in any other events or situations I seem to find myself in that may prove amusing to share!

I just got a new book delivered in the mail yesterday… The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner. I have heard many great things about this series and I am very excited to dive right in and give my honest thoughts and opinions when I come out on the other side!
