September TBR

In September I am going to try and focus on the books that have been sitting on my shelves unread for a while now. That way I can focus on new and upcoming releases for the rest of the year. I have a few series and just random books on my shelves that I would really like to get to and I am going to try and focus on September to get them all done. I know I am not going to finish them all but if I can get a good chunk of them completed I won’t feel guilty about buying more new books in the upcoming months!

These are all the books I currently have on my physical TBR:

✨N.E.W.T.S Magical Readathon TBR✨

The N.E.W.T.S Magical Readathon is hosted by Book Roast on YouTube & I’ll link her video with all the information regarding the readathon HERE.

The career I have chosen is to be a Hogwarts Professor and teach Charms, honestly because I would love to live at Hogwarts full time and I think Charms is such a fun, crucial subject in a young witch/wizards magical education! So to pass my NEWTS I need an O in Charms and E in Defense Against the Dark Arts and at least 2 A’s in secondary subjects of my choice which equals to 7 books in all that I need to complete for the NEWTS. If I have time throughout the month I am still going to try and complete as many of the other prompts that I can!

So the prompts and my TBR for the NEWTs are:

charms copyA: Read a book that has a gorgeous cover

E: Read a comic / manga / graphic novel (or book under 150 pages)

O: Spongify (softening charm) – read a paperback book

DADA copyA: Book that’s black under the dust jacket

E: Gilderoy’s Memory Charm – first book that I remembered just now from my TBR!

history of magic copyA: Read a Fantasy

transfiguration copyA: Read a book with LGBTQA+ Representation

August TBR

This month I have the N.E.W.T.S Magical Readathon going on, but I only need to read 7 books for the career I chose, which definitely leaves me room in the month to pick up some more books! I have been slowly dwindling through my physical TBR that I own so I’m still trying to make a dent in that, as well as my library books and I have subscribed to Kindle Unlimited and there is a plethora of options for me to read there as well!

So all the books on my TBR currently in my possession are:

What are you reading this month?

Reading Rush TBR

I have made the executive decision to participate in this year’s Reading Rush! I am super excited because I have never really officially participated in a read-a-thon before and I figured since this is the one I have heard about the most I would give it a try! I am going to do the most and try to finish 7 books and fulfill all of the reading challenge! I’m not going to put too much pressure on myself if don’t end up reading 7 books, but I don’t have anything going on next week so I should be ok! Fingers Crossed 🤞🏾

So the Reading Challenges and my TBR consists of:

1/ Read a book with purple on the coverGeekerella by Ashley Postan

2/ Read a book in the same spot the entire timeA Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas

3/ Read a book you meant to read last yearVengeful by V.E. Schwab

4/ Read an author’s first bookAssassin’s Apprentice by Robin Hobb

5/ Read a book with a non-human main characterthe long way to a small angry planet by Becky Chambers

6/ Pick a book that has five or more words in the title Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

7/ Read and watch a book to movie adaptationThe Help by Kathryn Stockton

July TBR

Because I had such a successful reading month in June I figured I would adopt the same strategy for July and see how I progress. So I am just listing all of my physical TBR and mood reading whatever I feel like throughout the month. I’m also in the mood for doing some rereading, so I may also pick up some other books on my shelves that I have already read!

So these are all the books on my TBR that I have in my possession:
